Transport to and from any tour, any public car parking, nature reserve parking and entrance fees are not included in the quoted tour price. We will meet at a pre-arranged location at a set time. For example a nature reserve car park or recognisable landmark.
Please be aware that at some locations there will be a considerable amount of walking. We try at best to keep to proper tracks and paths, but sometimes during any season, these can become very muddy and slippery so caution must be taken.
Therefore, I strongly recommend that sensible and comfortable footwear, as well as strong, protective clothing should be worn. Norfolk's countryside and coastline although beautiful, can be a wild and windswept place and can throw the worst of weather at you. So, be prepared!
In contrast, sunhats and protective cream is just as important on our hotter, sunnier days. Insect repellant is also strongly recommended, gnats and horse flies can be a nuisance!
Many locations we visit unfortunately do not have toilet facilities. Toilets are located at various establishments nearby, details of which can be confirmed when booking and when meeting up for the tour.
Clients should bring their own binoculars and/or, if owned a telescope with tripod. A few spare pairs of binoculars are available if required. Clients will have the use of my telescope at all times, plus a quality identification field guide to refer to during your tour.
Please appreciate birds are obviously wild creatures and can move and fly away from any location and sometimes appear unbelievably shy and retiring. Although I will do my best to make sure clients get every chance of observing all the birds, I'm sure you can appreciate that I cannot always guarantee success!
